Mom's Ready To Go
OK, we’re ready. She’s dialating nicely and has the epidural in place. When we got here last night, they sent us home after monitoring for about 2 hours. The resident told her that she wasn’t dialated enough (0.5cm). Of course, the contractions prevented her from getting any sleep. By 2:00pm today, it was clear that we had to come back.
So I’m writing this from the waiting room at the hospital while she catches a few zzz’s while she can. The epidural is helping her to relax through some of the contractions so she can build up her energy for the big workout this evening. Her attending thinks it’s very likely that we’ll deliver before midnight.
Any guesses on the weight?
Jeffrey’s holding out well. He’s at a friends’ house and had a fun day at the Strong Museum of Play with his friend Grace. He was pretty zonked from getting woken up at 1:30 in the morning.

Grandma’s guess 6lb 12 oz
My guess… 7lb 8oz
Ooh, I am so excited for you guys!!!
My guess- 7 pounds 15 ounces.
7lbs 50z.
with a snooth delivery
And the winner is… Grandma Lelah… just 3oz shy. If I remember correctly, she correctly guessed Jeffrey going-home weight too.
